What is the dress code for Incentive Canada 2024 – Winter Edition?
There will be a number of different activities taking place at Incentive Canada 2024 – Winter Edition. There will be indoor and outdoor winter activities, business meetings and evening receptions. We recommend that you wear what you are comfortable in for each situation. There will not be a dress code for any of the activities. We suggest active wear for daytime events, and a reminder to please bring warm, comfortable footwear and don’t forget a swimsuit.
During the marketplace meetings we ask that you wear your "Team Canada" uniform that will be provided to you upon registration. Excursions during this winter edition focus on outdoor adventure. We recommend bringing base and mid layer clothing, winter boots, snow pants, as well as a winter jacket, hat and gloves. If you don't have some of these items, please let us know during the registration process and we will provide them for you. For those guests selecting ski / snowboard as their activity, you may also choose to bring your own equipment or make use of the rental shop at no additional charge — you will be asked in your registration which method you prefer. For evening receptions, business casual is recommended.

What should the timing be for my flights?
We ask that you arrive in Calgary no later than 12:00 pm on January 21, 2024 to allow for your transfer to The Fairmont Banff Springs in advance of the official start of Incentive Canada 2024 – Winter Edition. Please do not book your departure flight prior to 1:30 pm on January 24.

What is the weather like in Banff in January?
The average temperature in Lake Louise for a typical day ranges from a high of 25°F (-4°C) and a low of 7°F (-14°C). It is considered a "dry" cold so even when the temperature is cold, it can still be pleasant to be outside.

Where will I be staying during Incentive Canada 2024 – Winter Edition?
You will be enjoying accommodations at The Fairmont Banff Springs for the duration of the event, January 21-24, 2024. The negotiated preferred cost for Partners at The Fairmont Banff Springs is $279 per night, plus applicable fees and taxes for a Fairmont Room. Please note that we will book these rooms on your behalf; you will need to provide a credit card upon check in. Should you wish to extend your stay, we have secured the preferred rate for three days pre- and three days post-event, starting at $279 per night based on availability. We would also be pleased to make the arrangements to extend your stay on your behalf.

Will my transportation be provided during Incentive Canada 2024 – Winter Edition?
All transfers during Incentive Canada 2024 – Winter Edition will be provided including transfers to and from Banff on January 21 and 24. You are responsible for your own air transportation to and from Calgary should your travels bring you to Alberta outside of those dates.

How do I select my Marketplace Meetings?
No need! Meetings will be booked on your behalf and all clients and partners will have a meeting during Incentive Canada.

What should I bring for the Marketplace Appointments?
Each partner will be provided with one 6’ table and 3 chairs, 1 waste basket and sanitizing supplies. Feel free to bring business cards, collateral, tablecloths and décor for your table. No zip banners please (unless they are table-top). If you need any additional items for your table (power, etc), please email info@incentivecanada.ca and we will do our best to assist.

Will there be an opportunity for partners to gift items to guests?
As Destination Canada is moving towards sustainable events, we would kindly ask that you refrain from bringing small branded items for guests.  Please note that there will be no room dropped gifted items from partners.

Will media be onsite for the event?
Yes, there will be several members of the media onsite for the duration of the event. Partners will have the opportunity to connect with them during the Marketplace Meetings, as well as various times during other event activations.

How can I prepare for media interactions?
Destination Canada will provide a thorough media briefing document and webinar for Partner Q&A in advance of Incentive Canada 2024 – Winter Edition.
